Move at home with zero gear: a beginner's guide
No gym, no weights, no excuse: your bedroom is enough to start.
You need nothing to start moving except a bit of floor space and the will to try. Your own bodyweight is already a great starting point: squats, wall push-ups, lunges, planks. The real secret isn't equipment, it's consistency.
Start small, really small
The classic mistake is trying to do everything at once and quitting in three days. Aim for a short mini-session you can keep even on a low-motivation day. Little but often beats a lot just once.
Pick a fixed moment in your day, like right after class or before your shower. Attaching movement to a habit you already have makes it almost automatic. Your brain loves cues.
Listen to your body
Mild muscle discomfort is normal, sharp pain is not: when in doubt, stop and rest. If pain lingers or worries you, talk to a doctor or physio, they're the pros. Moving should stay a pleasure, not a punishment.
