Challenges: how to spot the safe ones
Not all challenges are equal. Here's a simple grid to sort them without killing the fun.
Many challenges are just fun: a dance, a creative task, a kind act to pass on. Those bring people together and put no one at risk. They're the only ones worth it.
The warning signs
A challenge that pushes you to get hurt, swallow something, brave a danger or humiliate someone: walk away. No amount of views is worth your health or anyone else's. None.
The right reflex
Before jumping in, ask yourself: would I do this if no one were filming? If the answer is no because it's risky, the challenge is using your pride against you.
Joining a good-natured challenge is great. Reporting or ignoring a dangerous one is even better. Your common sense is your best filter.
