A trend almost always starts small: an idea posted by someone, picked up by a small circle, then amplified. There's no magic button, just a chain of remakes that keeps growing.

The snowball effect

When enough people copy a format, the algorithm shows it to more people, who copy it in turn. It's a loop: the more it's seen, the more it's remade, the more it's seen.

Why it fades just as fast

A trend wears out once everyone has seen it a thousand times. The novelty runs dry, attention drifts elsewhere. That's normal: burnout is part of the cycle.

Understanding this cycle keeps you from chasing every wave. You can observe, pick the ones that actually speak to you, and let the rest go without regret.
