Listening to your body: the signals to know
Your body talks to you constantly, learn to read its messages.
Moving is also about learning to understand what your body tells you. Tiredness, soreness, breathlessness, hunger: all signals to listen to rather than ignore. This awareness is a skill that grows with time.
The difference between discomfort and pain
Mild muscle discomfort after effort is normal and fades in a few days. Sharp pain, that stings or blocks a movement, is a stop signal to respect. When in doubt, easing off beats pushing through.
Rest isn't laziness
Feeling drained, less motivated or often ill can mean you're doing too much. Taking a rest day doesn't cancel your progress, it protects it. Your body needs recovery to grow stronger.
Listening to your body doesn't replace medical advice when something worries you. If a symptom persists or comes back, see a health professional. No one knows your body better than you, but a pro can help you see clearly.
