Exercise and sleep: the duo we forget too often
Moving helps you sleep better, and sleeping well helps you move better.
We talk a lot about effort and food, but sleep is the pillar we neglect. It's at night that your body recovers, repairs your muscles and recharges your energy. Without decent sleep, even the best workout gives less.
Movement helps you fall asleep
Physical activity during the day often helps you fall asleep more easily at night. Your body feels a healthy tiredness that invites rest. Moving and sleeping feed each other.
Watch out for late workouts
A very intense session right before bed can, on the contrary, keep you awake. If you train in the evening, give yourself some calm time before bed. Everyone is different, notice what works for you.
If you repeatedly sleep badly, it's not a fate and it can be worked on. A doctor can help you find the cause rather than guessing. Your sleep deserves as much attention as your workouts.
