Getting around without a car is mostly about organisation. Luxembourg's official mobility app centralises bus, tram and train schedules, works out your door-to-door route and warns you when there's a disruption. It's the basic habit to build.

The features that save you time

Type your starting point and destination, and the app suggests the best combinations. You can filter by whether you'd rather walk less or wait less, and save your regular trips so you don't retype them every time.

Disruption alerts are precious in the evening and at weekends, when a schedule change can cost you a connection. Turn them on for your favourite lines.

One last tip: load your routes while you have signal. In some underground stations the connection can drop, and a route you've already loaded will save you.
