The first solo trip on public transport can feel intimidating. Yet with a little preparation, it all goes fine. The goal is simple: arrive calm, without needless stress, and build confidence for next time.

The prep that reassures

Before leaving, map your route in the app, note the name of your arrival stop and the number of stops. Also spot a familiar station along the way: if you see it go by, you know you're on the right track.

Keep your phone charged and a little backup battery if you can. If in doubt, you can always politely ask a staff member or a fellow traveller, or step off to check your direction and set off again calmly.

By the end, you'll realise it was far easier than expected. Every solo trip strengthens your independence, and soon you'll be getting around everywhere without a second thought.
