Many apps grab far more data than they need to work. Your location, your contacts, your mic: all of it is valuable to someone. Protecting your privacy isn't paranoia, it's choosing what you give away.

Sort out your permissions

Open your app settings and cut off the accesses they don't really need. A game has no business tracking your location around the clock. This little cleanup takes five minutes and changes a lot.

Think before you fill in

Every form asking for your name, birth date or number deserves a pause. Is it really necessary? The more you scatter your info around, the easier you are to profile. In Luxembourg, the data protection authority can inform you about your rights.
