Breaking out of your bubble: diversifying what you see

Your feed ends up looking a little too much like you. Here's how to open its windows.

By always showing you what you like, your feed narrows your horizon without you noticing. It's called a bubble: a comfortable space, but a bit narrow. Getting out takes a small deliberate effort.

Go find the unexpected

Follow topics that aren't like you, watch content from other cultures, other passions. Your feed widens and you discover things the algorithm would never have offered you.

Cross your sources

Don't get your information from one place. Compare, look elsewhere, read a full article. The more varied your sources, the less you risk a distorted view of the world.

A bubble isn't a prison: you can pierce it whenever you want. A curious, diverse feed means a mind that stays open.
