Protecting your ears at gigs without being a killjoy
Loving loud sound and caring for your ears aren't mutually exclusive.
Hearing is a capital that doesn't recharge. Once damaged, it doesn't come back the way it was, so it's worth caring for it right now.
The right habit: distance and earplugs
Standing a bit away from the speakers and wearing earplugs is often enough to enjoy a gig without going home with ringing ears.
If your ears ring after a gig, give them time to rest. And if it lasts, talk to a health professional about it.
