E-scooters in the city: the good habits
Handy for short hops, as long as you ride smart and park tidily.
The e-scooter is perfect for the last stretch between a tram stop and your destination. It's fast and fun, but it calls for care: you share the space with pedestrians, cyclists and cars.
Riding without bothering anyone
Stay in the allowed areas, adjust your speed when pedestrians are around, and keep both hands on the handlebar. A scooter isn't built for two: one rider is safer for everyone.
Parking is a sensitive point. A scooter dumped across a pavement blocks prams, wheelchairs and visually impaired people. Park it against a wall, in the designated zones, never in the middle of a path.
As with cycling, visibility matters. In the evening, make sure your lights work and wear light clothing. A bit of common sense makes the scooter pleasant for you and for others.
