Setting up a workspace that makes you want to work
Your environment shapes your focus: a few simple tweaks change everything.
You can have the best method in the world, but if your desk is a battlefield, your focus suffers. The place where you work sends a signal to your brain. A well-thought-out corner puts you in "work" mode almost automatically.
Empty space is room to think
Clear your desk of clutter: only what you need stays in front of you. A clear space is a clear mind. Put your phone in another room or out of sight: it's the worst attention thief there is.
Light, comfort, and a touch of you
Set up in daylight if you can, on a decent chair, back straight. Good posture avoids aches and keeps your energy longer. Add a little touch you like: a plant, a nice lamp, a motivating object.
If you don't have a fixed space at home, try libraries and study areas. Just seeing other focused people around you pulls you up. Sometimes, changing location is enough to restart the engine.
