Filters and reality: don't compare your face to an edit
What scrolls past is often smoothed, edited, filtered. Your real face has nothing to prove.
Beauty filters are everywhere and look natural, but they change the skin, the features, sometimes the whole face. The problem is when you start treating them as the norm.
A game, not a goal
Playing with a filter is one thing. Wanting to permanently look like your filtered version is another, far heavier to carry day to day.
Protecting your head
Following varied, realistic accounts, taking screen breaks and remembering it's all staged helps keep you grounded. If it weighs too much, talking to a trusted adult is a good idea.
