Food trends: the food waves worth knowing
Some trends are worth the hype, others are just pretty for the camera.
Food trends spread fast, often carried by videos that make you want to try them. Some are brilliant, others mostly built for the photo. The game is spotting which ones are actually worth it.
What keeps coming back
You regularly see improbable mashups between two dishes, recipes hacked into simplified versions, or creative ways to assemble whatever's in the fridge. Many of these ideas are fun to recreate at home.
Keeping a critical eye
A pretty trend isn't necessarily tasty or sensible nutritionally. Try things out of curiosity, but don't build your diet on what's buzzing. The real joy is grabbing the good ideas and dropping the rest.
And why not launch your own spin on a trend? It's often while tinkering that you land on the recipe you'll make again and again.
