Why we want to share (the psychology behind it)
The little engine that pushes you to hit 'share', decoded without judgment.
Sharing content is often a way of saying something about yourself: what makes me laugh, what moves me, what I believe in. A share is a mini message about your identity, addressed to your circle.
The need to belong
We also share to feel in the loop, to belong to a group. That's human and normal. Knowing it just helps you notice when you share out of real joy, and when it's out of pressure.
Sharing better
Before sharing, a second of pause: is it true, is it kind, is it useful? This small filter turns a reflex into a choice. You stay free to have fun, just with a bit more intention.
None of this should make you feel guilty. Understanding why you share simply makes you more in control of your online gestures.
