Going from high school to university isn't just changing buildings. The biggest change is freedom. Nobody chases you to check you're working. That freedom is great, but it's earned with a bit of organisation.

The rhythm is yours

At university, you manage your schedule, your revision, your attendance. It's exciting and a bit dizzying at first. The habit that saves you: booking regular work slots as if they were compulsory classes. Your discipline becomes your best teacher.

Don't stay in your corner

In the first weeks, everyone is finding their bearings, so dare to talk to others. Join a club, go to welcome events, form a study group. You cope far better together than solo, and the best memories often come from there.

Finally, spot early where to find help: student services, the library, tutors. Knowing who to turn to before you need it saves you plenty of trouble. University isn't a solo survival test.
