Image generators produce stunning visuals from a few words. That's great for creating, but it blurs the line between real and fake. A "shocking" photo going around may well have never existed.

Real, fake, how to tell?

Look for inconsistencies: extra fingers, unreadable background text, shadows that don't match. These flaws are shrinking over time, so doubt should stay your default reflex. Check the source before taking an image at face value.

Create responsibly

Creating an image of someone without their consent, especially to mock them, can cause harm and lead to trouble. Have fun, but think about the impact on real people. Freedom to create ends where respect for others begins.
