Five more minutes that turn into a race against the clock: a true story.

The alarm goes off. You open one eye and negotiate with yourself: 'five more minutes.' Fatal mistake. Those five minutes mysteriously multiply, and there you are running through the house, one sock in hand, wondering where your time went.

The morning sprint

Then comes the choreographed sprint: breakfast gulped standing up, bag half-packed, jacket grabbed on the run. You check the bus time every ten seconds. The morning turns into a mini action movie where you're the breathless hero.

The truth is, enough sleep changes everything. Going to bed a bit earlier and putting the phone down before sleeping really helps you wake up less like a zombie. If you truly struggle with sleep over time, it's worth talking to an adult or a professional.

In the meantime, enjoy the absurdity of your mornings. This daily sprint is something we all share, almost a national sport among teens. Next time you run with just one sock, remember: you're not alone.
